Modern Aristotlean Model

 

For two millennia the pokes of the sort of concept was able to be used due to the level of knowledge. Until the 19th Century it was conceivable that one person could acquire the sum total of human knowledge. With the exponential growth of human knowledge the wheel concept was able to cope. With the coming of the 20th Century I would contend that the wheel concept was rapidly becoming unwieldy and also restrictive to the growth of total knowledge.
